Mary Jo (nee Nester) Whims, age 76, of Rittman, passed away
surrounded by her family on Tuesday afternoon, June 9, 2020, at
LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Mary Jo was born on January 7, 1944, in Wadsworth, Ohio, and married
Terrence Whims on June 26, 1962, in Indiana, and they have been
happily married for the last 58 years.
Mary Jo graduated from Wadsworth High School with the class of 1962
and attended Akron Beauty School. She retired from PCA and Lowe's
Garden Center in Wooster, Ohio.
Her family came first, along with her dog, Linus, and her flowers.
Surviving are her husband, Terry; two sons, Michael (Tammy Christy)
Whims, and Mathew (Heather Bell) Whims; three grandchildren,
Shannon (Sean) Baldwin, Logan (Brittany) Whims, and Griffin Whims;
three great grandchildren, Brady, Gage, and Rori Jo Whims.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, Terry
Whims.
Mary Jo was a very private person, and no public services will take
place. The family will hold private services at Rittman Cemetery at a
later date.
