Doris Kearns, age 67, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 31, 2012 at her home in Montrose,Colorado.
Doris Jean Adams was born on May 27, 1944, in Harrisville, Ohio, to parents, Arthur Willis and Marjorie Mae (Coss) Adams. She graduated from Wadsworth High School. Doris married Larry W. Kearns on June 16, 1962, in Wadsworth, Ohio. They had the privilege of sharing almost 50 years of marriage. To their union were born three children, Kimberly, David and Christopher.
Doris and Larry owned and operated Kearns Auto Body until their retirement in 1998. Following retirement she enjoyed traveling, sewing crafts of all kinds and craft shows.
Doris is survived by her loving husband, Larry W. Kearns of Montrose, Colorado; Kimberly J. Davison and husband, Jesse of Montrose, Colorado; David W. Kearns and wife Jill of Montrose, Colorado and Christopher S. Kearns of Aurora, Colorado; mother, Marjorie Adams of Montrose, Colorado; brother, Donald A. Adams of Norfolk, Virginia along with 7 grandchildren, Nolan, Nathan, Keley, Mia, Kyle, Alisha and Dalton.
She will best be remembered for her laughter, sweet smile and positive attitude.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, February 18, 2012.
