recent pictureWADSWORTH -- William "Bill" Andrews, 62, of Wadsworth, passed on from his world of suffering and into the welcoming arms of his Lord on the eve of February 22, 2007 with his wife and four daughters at his side.
Born on June 13, 1944, he was a member of First Christian Church. Bill lived most of his life in Wadsworth. As a young boy, he was involved with the 4-H and the Medina County Fair. He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1962, served his country in the United States Army, was an avid sportsman, hunter, and dog lover. Bill spent many years coaching his daughters in softball. In recent years, you could find him on the sidelines at the Wadsworth girls' basketball games.
The bulk of his employment was with PPG in Barberton, the United Parcel Service, and Federal Express.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pauline Bozigar; and brother Robert Andrews.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 16 years, Mary; his daughters, Valerie (David) Canter, Celestina Andrews, Rochelle (Richard) Vater, Patrece (Roger) Williamson, Tarrece (Frank) Stepp; 13 grandchildren who "PaPa" loved dearly, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth with Rev. Jonathan Rumburg officiating.
Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hilliard-Mullaney-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 North Lyman Street, Wadsworth and one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wadsworth First Christian Church, 116 East Boyer Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281 or to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 163549, Columbus, OH 43216-3549.
