Dick Dudas passed away on June 29, 2022, in Vero Beach, FL, at the
age of 77. He was born in Barberton, OH, on December 27, 1944,
and was raised in Wadsworth OH. He was the son of Lewis and
Bernice (Lutz) Dudas. Dick attended Wadsworth High School, where
he was an all star athlete. He then went on to attend The Ohio State
University on a baseball scholarship, graduating with a B.A. in
Business. Upon graduation he joined the United States Air Force,
where he served as a flightier jet pilot during the Vietnam War. He
served for many years in the Vermont Air Guard, and retired with the
rank of Lt. Col. Dick eventually moved to Oak Creek, Co, where he
resided until moving to Sebastian, FL in 2021. While in Oak Creek, he
found another passion: head football coach at the local high school, a
position that brought him great joy working with young athletes. Dick
is predeceased by his parents, and younger brother, Rex. He is
survived by his wife Michele (Bucher) of Florida, son Justin (Leli)
Dudas of Florida, step-daughter Ali (Tim) Geiger of Colorado, sister
Diane Hohn of Ohio, brother Jack (Elyse) Dudas of Florida, grandson
Cayden Dudas, step-granddaughters Morgan and Shelby, numerous
nieces, nephews, and a lot of fantastic life long friends. A celebration
of Dick’s life will be held at a later date in Oak Creek, CO.
